Retired Osseo Area Schools teacher, Bill Beckham, returned to one of his former schools on Dec. 6 to give presentations on the fur trade era of 1770-1840, which he said marked the world’s first worldwide industry. 

Nicole Praska, a forensic scientist at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), visited Brooklyn Middle STEAM School Dec. 5 to share information about her career path and the science behind forensics.

After further review, the school-based health center mentioned as part of Crest View’s repurposing is going to be placed at Park Center Senior High School instead. There are a variety of reasons for this change, including easier access for more scholars and their families and a more district-centralized location.

Community Education’s Kidstop and Four Star Express students, staff and families gathered on Oct. 23 and 24 to celebrate the 25th Annual Lights On Afterschool, a nationally recognized annual event that showcases the many ways after school programs support students and families.

On Oct. 15, Community Education’s Early Childhood & Family Education (EC&FE) staff hosted a free Family Fun Night at Arbor View Early Childhood Center and Willow Lane Early Childhood Center.
